Design of top-down excavation by means of soil nailing and anchor walls, allow these earth retention technologies to facilitate construction, as well as, ease architectural design and meet code specifications. Similarly, designing micro-piles, which are deep foundation elements constructed using high-strength, small diameter steel casing and/or threaded bar, are also used.
