DESIGN-BUILD GEOTECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

This area of engineering service is a bold step. It usually occurs because of specific knowledge, ability, talent and technology that may provide solutions to complex problems. For example, today’s high cost of property demands maximization of land space, thus many buildings require vertical excavations primarily for parking spaces and basements. Design of top-down excavation by means of soil nailing and anchor walls, allow these earth retention technologies to facilitate construction, as well as, ease architectural design and meet code specifications. Similarly, designing micro-piles, which are deep foundation elements constructed using high-strength, small diameter steel casing and/or threaded bar, are also used. Many projects that are deemed unrecoverable or are under critical condition can be rescued and remediated by using micro-piles.

We design and build solutions to various problems of slope stabilization and foundation for all types of buildings. Among the solutions that have been used there may be mentioned:

      Cast-in-place piles

      Driven piles

      Stone columns

Mechanically stabilized earth wall (MSE wall)

      Shotcrete

      Soil Nailing walls

      Anchored walls

      Rock-bolts

      Micro-piling

      Under-pining

      Mini-piles

      Consolidation piles

      Grout curtains

      Horizontal drainage

      Wick-drains

      Sand drains

      Helical piles

      Tunnel lining

A list of project types can be exhaustive, some examples are:

      Commercial buildings

      Malls

      Industrial parks

      High-rise buildings

      Residential developments

      Dams

      Ports
